Bloody hell you must have caught this lot in a good mood, there's not a single abusive 'go and introduce yourself you noob' type post!

Tidy looking vehicle by the way :)

Jealous or what!

1. Your buying a house with outbuildings.
2. Your buying a house with a free landy.

I tink the rest of us would be buying a landy with a free ouse :D

Smart looking machine most unusual. Swap it for a diesel log splitter;)
Take the bucket off and put a hook on, think of all the ton bags of logs you can lift, you wouldn't need a tipping trailer

Thanks for all the input, including further info on what it is and the sort of price it is worth!

I shall update the post in a few weekends time with further pictures for you all. Cheers!

HI THERE,

This is my first post on the forum, I have been advised to come to this forum by a friend who said you may be able to help out.

Basically, I am purchasing a property which has a 6X6 Series 3 Stage 1 V8 in one of the outbuildings. I have a few pics of it, and I know its a Stage 1 Series 3 V8 but thats about it, it was used by Southern Electricity who i originally used it.

If anyone could confirm exactly what it possibly maybe, is it a Sandringham 6? Please find pictures attached (I hope).

Any resposes are greatly appreciated. Regards, Will.

Hi there,
Now that is a wonderful find! It is indeed based on a stage 1 V8, as you can see by the split windscreen and leaf springs.

I do not know of any others of these left, and series cherrypickers of any description are far from common.

Do it up like this, which is how it would have been when in use. Would steal the day at any Landrover show.

I for one would love to see it in the metal.

The ultimate Stage 1 surely. Very cool .

A good investment perhaps if you were to put a few clods into doing her up yourself?

The Land Rover magazines would lap up doing an article on it, there are a couple about, drop them a line and they would probably do some leg work for you and may even put your 'for sale' bit at the end of the article :D

But make sure you take it for a thrash yourself first!

Is it a drive through centre axle?

That is something I would seriously like to buy... sadly I imagine the American market will make it's value too high to keep in the UK market :( but if the new (lucky) owner wants to sell at a reasonable price then i'd be interested...
