I live a mile from Newland. Nothing springs to mind but i'll make some enquiries. Give me a day or so to getback to you.

That's the only Newland i seem to be able to locate in the UK. That's the address that is stamped in the service book only 10 months ago. I feel they may know or could have fitted an auto box (badly) to my td5. If it's been fitted in the last 12 months it could still be under warranty. They may be able to tell me where they got the recon box from. The seller now (after a week of waiting) has told me he Will ring over the weekend and may have forgotten to include the receipt but may be able to find it. So hence my reson for trying to locate the company before i go ahead and book it in locally.

Local boys. I'm in Clearwell. I've asked a couple of people tonight but no-one has heard of it. Ive taken my TD5 to Robert Fowler in Coleford for leaks. Had good service and have always sorted problems. In fact sorted a jammed wastegate for me last week.

You sure it wasnt these. Nene Overland, Manor Farm, Ailsworth, Peterborough, PE5 7AF

Further investigation has reavealed the could be based in coleford or even cirencester. Checked the service book that came with the car an it's stamped with the address that is in my first post, but no phone number. Services were done in march 2012 and June 2009. So established for at least 3 years?????? Interesting that i nor others seem to to have heard of them.

Further investigation today is going commence!!!!!

I live in ciren and I've never heard of overland 4x4 so I don't think they're based in ciren since I always get sent to Cheltenham to get parts

I have checked on google all garages who currently do m.o.t and it's not listed around here anywhere.
Can I suggest using the Uk.gov website?
You enter your reg number and current mot test number and it will tell you about every mot the car has had. Hopefully it will list where it was mot'd too

Well i tried overland in bristol to no avail. Made numerous other enquiries with no joy. Slightly stating day i feel.

Not in Newland or Coleford. Just find a reliable local garage.

Im not trying to find somebody to do the work, just trying to find out if this company "Overland 4x4" apparently from Newland as per the stamp in the service book in march of 2012, fitted or know anything about the recon gearbox. But according to everybody i spoke to the company doesn't exist. It's a money saving exercise, as the box hasn't been fitted that long and may still be under warren. Or at least i hope it is.

Sounding like a blagged service record.

I have to admit that thought crossed my mind too.
Was the mot done with same people? If it was may pay to get a re-test somewhere you trust.

Certainly seems that way!!!!! well time will tell. Further enquieires have pointed to the york area for Overland 4x4
