4x4 mechnic training

hi everyone

would anyone be able to help me!
i would like to go on a mechnic course to get to grips with doing running repairs and changing bits and bobs.As i am planning a trip to africa.

would anyone have any ideas of where to go for such a course in 4x4 mechnics! Any help would be much apreicated.

Volunteer saturday mornings at your local LR independant?

local college would be cheapest and best quality training, failing that buy a vehicle scrap shagger and strip it with a haynes manual
