4.6 Missfire

Hello everyone,

I have a missfire/hesitation! Only when I stay at a steady speed it dissapears when I accelerate or take my foot off the accelerater. I have changed the spark plugs and made sure they are all sparking. Is this a common fault? Someone told me it could be the air flow meter. Any info or ideas would be great thanks.

hi maybe the fuel pressure regulator? located under the plenum right rear it has a small pipe attached may be split? regards dave

HT leads are the norm for missfires on the V8, run the engine with the bonnet up in the dark and you'll probably see sparks where the leads are arcing out on the rocker covers, you should be able to hear it too, makes a ticking sound when the spark jumps

Did u ever sort ure missfire problem out i have exactly the same problem

as stated previous that little pipe from plenum causes havoc when split

it was the plugs and leads they was all pitted and first lead i took of broke lol
