Just wondering if this is ok, i have recently had lpg installed in my 2003 range rove vogue and i am getting 150-160 miles to 40 pounds on gas.

Is this about right?

I thought mine was bad, 200 - 220 per 70ltrs!! :D But maybe not. I believe that a lot depends on injection type and mapping for your car. Mine was installed by Wains Classic Rebuilds, he rechecked all mapping for the car after a bedding in period of 2K miles.:)
If the car mix isn't right then you won't get the mpg you might have thought. You should be looking at 20% less mpg for lpg than for petrol as the octane figure is not as high

Not quite right, 'ooman.

The calorific value (energy content) of LPG is about 5% less than petrol (it varies, some companies mix a little butane in with the propane), so you will get 5% fewer miles per gallon. The octane rating is a measure of resistance to ignition and LPG is better in that respect than petrol: you won't get 'pinking' from LPG going up a long steady incline whereas you might on petrol.
