Hi All.
Planning to do this job on my 2005 4.4.
Anything I need to be aware of or do at the same time?
Many thanks.

Did it on mine (10 years ago)... reasonably straight forward iirc.

I had previously fitted a new PCV but the gaskets were old and hardened and continued to drip a little onto the exhaust manifold.
Also advisable to change the rubber bolt washers as these harden also, although I just smeared mine with non-setting gasket sealant (maybe Hermetite?)

The fuel injector loom banks can be forcibly yanked off in a one'er and pushed back on in a one'er without touching the individual connector square clips, although I'm sure you can take a more traditional approach by individually 'picking' the clips.

I can't remember if the dipstick tube needs detaching but I remember doing this for some reason, maybe not this.

I used red not-setting gasket sealant (again, red Hermetite?) to hold the new gasket to the covers as it may want to drop out of the grooved seats, the rear of the gasket has 2 half moon mouldings which can snag on the head when refitting, I think you can check these have aligned correctly by feeling down the back with your fingers.

Finally, I believe the front diff vent pipe clips to front of passenger side (UK) bank, it has a loop formed on it.

Takes a couple of hours to do, particularly if it's your first time on this engine.
