33/12.5 r15 on series 2?

I have another question about tyres/wheels on my '65 series 2.

I dont want to annoy people but i have exhausted searches here and on the web in general and am hoping for someone with more experience with Landy's than me (Is not difficult to find) can shed some light.

My series 2 does not sit at standard height. I couldnt say what the previous owner has done to the suspension but its easily 1-2" taller and the wheel arch clearance to the standard 750 tyres is 6-8" (uneaven ground when measuring).

I have the chance to buy some cheap 33/12.5 R15 wheels and tyres and wondered if they are ok to fit? (1" offset steelies).

I know there may be steering lock issues on full lock but its not a daily driver so i can live with that.

I also know a 2.25 would probably stuggle but i am running a V8 so thats ok too.

Any clear cut "Yes, but think of this" Or "it will never fit" answer would be great but failing that some assistance is better than none

I'd agree with BB. I ran 31 x 10.5's on 7j rims and they were fine, but now have the same on more appropriate 8j rims and they're way better.
