Good morning all.
I planning to put a 30mm lift kit on my 2001 Freelander. I still need to save first buy was wondering if anybody here has done it, and if so would you be happy to send some pic's so I can see the difference between the two.
Also does it do anything to the handling.
Many thanks.

There are plenty of things to sort or check before worrying about a lift kit.
Making sure the VCU is working, correctly is a higher priority than lifting the body.
If the VCU is in good condition, and the rest of the 4x4 system has had its fluids changed, you can look at frivolities.
The tyres is the first place to start before lifting it. Fitting decent larger tyres will improve grip, but fitting a lift kit won't.
Once the tyres are sorted, and you need more body height, then a lift kit is the way to go. Be aware that lifting it, could introduce vibration, as the CV joints will now be running on an unused area, which can stress the CV, making it vibrate. The only cure is to fit new or reconditioned genuine GKN shafts.

That's great information I currently have the standard 15" wheels on at the moment.
