30A fuse in a strange place?

that maplins cable is chuffing expensive - would hate to need much of it, and you can be sure it's crap quality

Have just had a look through the fuse box on my 200Tdi (1992) and discovered something strange.

In input #3 (see pic below), which I presume is the fuse for the rear wipers (front too?) and reverse light, there's supposed to be a 15A fuse, but I've just found a 30A fuse!

Can this be correct and does this present a danger? My reversing light isn't working but the front wipers are.

I'm no electronics expert btw, so please, be gentle :)

Where are the indicator fusebox locations? I've just replaced a front spot and now the damn indicators don't work - no clicking, nothing. Are there relays for the indicators?

If you look at fuse 5 (10A), it says it's for the instruments, stop lights and indicators!:doh::doh:

You should have gone to Specsavers!!

Right, so the left and right arrows are the indicator symbols. I was confused between them and the light symbols.

What's input 15 by the way? Glowplugs?

There was a pic on here where someone had made notes next to each fuse input, but for the life of me I cannot find it.

I don't have a fuse for my glow plugs. The feed is direct from the battery to the timer relay, with the other side linked to the ignition switch!

One day I might get round to sorting it out properly ... However it works perfectly!!
