I'm fitting a new vacuum pump as part of my refurbishment and feel as if I want to prime the pump with engine oil (in the hole where it attaches to the block) there are signs of some type of green oil existing but as the unit a new old stock I'd feel better priming it, any issues with this ?
I will also be trying to refurbish the removed one anyone know where I can get spares (valves, seals etc) and should the plunger have a spring return to push it out ??
