300tdi temeprature guage sender

Where is the sender located? the guage doesnt work and am looking to replace the sender but not sure where it is.

Look at the front of the engine, the alloy casting top front, U shaped that the radiator pipe connects to - on the drivers side just down at the side of this you will see the wire going into the little sender.

Theres 2 connectors going onto 2 plugs there, each has 2 wires on.. Is this right?

No. The sender is located in the front face of the head, below and behind the thermostat housing. Look in from drivers side, single wire on spade connector.
