My old starter needed replacing,so i bought a recon starter with Bosche markings,worked for 4 days,then sounded like it was only partialy engaging.It did start but with some unpleasant noises. I removed it and looking at the replacement it looks like it has taken the edge off the pinion.The original has been returned so i cannot compare.I dont want to fit replacement as i am worried about ring gear damage. Advise please.
