300tdi starter motor options?

I have not been able to get the disco started since it got cold, all i got was a click from the solinoid. as its a bit warmer down here today i have managed to get the starter motor off and give it a quick test on heavy duty jump leads. It only spins up about 1 in 10 goes rest of the time just a click.

Can anyone advise if this is fixable or best to replace the starter?

if I replace what are the cost implications for new, recon, other?
