300Tdi minus Cat = more power ?

Will removing the Cat from the exhaust system increase the power a tad ?
Does'nt count as a mod for insurance does it ??

Does'nt affect smoke test, neighbours done it for years on his Discovery and
had no problem so am crossing fingers ! wish me luck

Just done that to ours. Non-cat front pipe is not only easier to fit but
it's made quite a noticeable difference to the power.

Hmmm. must see if there's one on the minibus I can remove
