300Tdi lacking power smokeing and tapping sound

Hi
i have a 300Tdi with an intermitent fault. It drives fine for a while and then you notice a clicking sound then a slight loss of power then gets worse if you stop and rev the engine there is white and black smoke.

is this an injector fault?

white smoke is oil so dont sound like an injector fault to me

sounds like the copper washer on your injectors need replacing - letting compression out of the combustion chamber - common fault with 300tdi engine

White smoke is un burnt diesel and black smoke is over fueling or lack of air, your bottom cambelt specket could well be worn on the keyway so your timing goes out, or a vlave sticking
