300tdi Intercooler Options

The bit about a black intercooler being more emissivity is a load of twaddle. Last line confirms " particularly when at a standstill " Intercooler does bugger all at standstill anyway.

Agree with @tottot - "temperature differential from inlet to outlet is greater, particularly when the vehicle is stationary"

If you are into upping the power go for the above, but to get any real gain you need to up the FIP and the turbo as well.
Staying as it is just go for original.

I think so long as you except it ius a just a cheap new intercooler, it will be just fine.
I fitted pretty much the same one to mine years ago (was 90 quid) as old one was rotted and fins corroding, and it has been just fine.

Named ones are nice if that sort of thing is important to you, cheap and cheerful will do just the same job.

Found a new standard 200 intercooler for mine just last year for £90, been fine.

Thanks y’all, I’m not doing any mods so OEM is where I’m headed - radiator is on its last legs as well so will change out as one.
