can anyone demonstrate and tell me how to get all of the air out of my fuel lines in a 300tdi.
It turns out, i hit one of my fuel lines and it started leaking fuel.
I tightened it back up and it's still running like garbage and stalling on me as soon as i go heavy on the pedal...
i undid the fuel filter bleed screw, but still nothing..
anyone know what i can do to fully bleed my system?
cheers,

try cracking off injector pipes as you may have air in injectors, get someone to crank it and as the injector becomes wet tighten up.

also possible that lift pump shagged, but go the easy route first

would the engine still run if the lift pump is nackered?
i've pumped the lift pump and opened the filter bleed screw, and nothing has come out.
I've started the engine with the bleed valve open, and nothing comes out.
any suggestions?

I've had fuel lift pumps suffer partial valve or diaphragm failure and pump when cranking, but not by hand.(note other vehicle makes)

If your saying it will run like bag of ****, but you can't pump by hand-if it will run at idle for 10 mins or more=suspect the lift pump.

Or you are dragging in air

If it will fire but not run, you need to check for blockages and when you have satisfied yourself, check lift pump actually pumps
