300tdi front crankcase seal direction....

Replacing my front crank shaft seal Bearmach ERR7143.
I am unsure which side should be facing inward toward bearing and which should be pointing out.
The black /rubber side in??I

If its a std seal the garter spring is normally the pressure side ie the side yoyu want to stop the fluid excaping from.
