300tdi front bumper back on after winch ?

Hello all,
I have just bought my first disco , and 4x4 for that matter it came with a winch and a bespoke handmade winch bumper, i am thinking that i dont really need the winch, and would prefer the front to go back to original bumper,
How easy are they to install, im asuming its just a bolt on job , how many and where to ?
i have had a quick look underneath and the winch bumper seems to be welded to parts of the underneath but i cant tell which is origibal car and which is winch bumper,
I dont want to remove winch incase the are bits missing for an original bumper to fix to
any thoughts?
ps hoping to sell the winch and bumper as complete unit, to pay for , sorting out the discos other issues, to be discussed later :doh:

Original bumper is held on by 4 x M10 110mm bolts directly to front of chassis.

If it's a home made bumper then it could well be held on by anything!

mate put bumper on here for sale make good money on it but get your post count up otherwise you will end up with banter and a half eaten choccy bar

thanks for speedy replies, yes i know pics will be required but thought i would throw it out there whilst sitting in bed browsing, ill try and get some pics tomorrow,

so just 4 bolts then hopefully all is ok underneath to just put back on

the guy i bought from was a welder by trade so he made the winch bumper and some rock sliders

No offence, but that "winch" bumper is $hite.

No offence taken as i didnt put it on, what about the winch is it anygood i have no idea, it has the electrics etc and the cable to operate.

just looking forward to getting it back to normal then maybe the wife will actually get in it

Winch is worth a few bob....so is the bumper, I agree it's pretty horrible but some folk will like it.

If I were you I'd stick 'em on fleabay seperately to avoid the risk of the bumper dragging the price of the winch down

Not a winch user myself, but a quick google search puts that model at about £370 brand new ... might be worth a few quid if in working order....

dont think theres is any danger of that, she is totally offended by the beast at the moment and cant beleive i bought it , nor can i really bit of an impulse buy , after going on an off road driving course through work and loved it.

we will see how long it lasts !!

Wimmin judge a car by what their friends/neighbours drive. I:E does my motor make me look posher/richer /better than them. If ya can convince her it does yu has won the fght. DO NOT try to convince her that ya bought a sensible motor. just concentrate on how jealous the neighbours will be.
