Hi there again to all of you yummy Landy fans :D

I've found what appears to be a small split at the top, near the jubilee clip, of the 'engine breather pipe' (I think that's what it's called ) Found it after fitting new fuel leak off pipes and a new cyclone breather during my process of elimination to get to the bottom of 'Bertie's' minor engine oil leak

Q1: Is this pipe an Engine Breather Pipe?
Q2: Is it safe/easy for me to remove and replace (remember I'm a newbie ;))
Q3: If 'yes' to the above does anyone know the replacement part number for my Discovery 300tdi 1996 model?

Many many many thanks as always :)

Hi there Ron, thankyou for your lovely reply and your offer of help - much appreciated :) I've now ordered a replacement part and will have a go at fitting it myself now you've said it's "easy" ;) I thoroughly enjoyed fitting (and learning about) the leak off pipes and cyclone breather so I'm looking forward to having a go at this one too, but thankyou again anyway :)

Just wish more people would give this side of 'driving' a go - beats Lego any day! ;)

can't argue with that:Dhave fun, and if you get stuck let me know. ron.

Is this a part that is prone to wear as I have a slight seapage on my Landy which is the same year as yours. Can't really see where it's coming from on mine as its all the way down the side.

Might be worth putting a new one on (£4.95 off Ebay and only a ten minute job). Once I'd removed mine I could see that there were a couple of splits where the jubilee clips were etc. Let me know how you get on :D
