300Tdi EDC injector 4

Evening all, I have had to take the injectors out due to replacing valves but when I put injector 4, the one with the wire back in it sits prouder than the rest, is this normal?

Not that I can see, its sticking up at least 5mm more than the rest which I dont know if its normal as this is the one with the wire in.

All the injectors should be the same but you could try swapping and measure the depth with vernier caliper of two of them if want to get to the bottom of it , but if it all works ok then not a problem.?

Thanks, I will measure it against one of the others when it stops ****ing it down! I cant get the bugger to seal either.

Perhaps it has an old seal or 2 stuck in you never noticed

Good call, it's possibility sat at the bottom of the injector hole.

No, the 4th injector on an EDC is bigger than the rest FYI so I have found

Apologies hadn’t picked up the EDC is a different engine

no 4 is indeed a bit different
