300tdi Disco spare wheel carrier

Hi Folks, I want to remove the spare wheel carrier from the rear door of a 300tdi Disco. Before I remove the inner trim and probably damage it in doing it, can anyone tell me if I need to remove it or are the six bolts holding the carrier on threaded into captive threads on the inside of the door? Daft question I know but when I loosened one bolt the bit inside the door sounded very loose as though it would drop off if I went any further.

yeah they're just straight forward nuts, you'll have to remove the trim, did it on my old mans disco last month by just taking the door handle bolts and the single screw and the top trim clips out and pulling it out of the way without having to take the whole panel off with the speakers etc.
