300tdi Disco in Essex

Couldn't remember if I introduced myself, but have browsed an awful lot

Bought a 1997 300tdi XS Discovery in March.

Most of the week my wife uses it for her work (gardener). At weekends its mine






Previously have had a Frontera (well, I was young at the time) and prior to the Discovery I had a Hilux Surf.

Since March, haven't done much to the Disco replaced the side steps with some direct-to-chassis tubular steps (wife and small children can't get into it without them).

Will be removing the front valance and am on the lookout for steering guard (with recovery points).

It's got a steering fluid leak that I haven't managed to trace yet. It does seem to be leaking from the top of one of the hoses, so that is a job that needs doing...It keeps marking all her customers drives :doh:

About that leak. Here's the fix: drain all the fluid out of the system.:welcome2:

Already done....unintentionally about 3 times now....its a special "automatically-self-draining" system. Keeps the fluid fresh....i see it more as a "feature" of a landrover.

Yup, that's the thing wiv Discos, they 'pee' on ya drive.
