300tdi black smoke

New to the forum so hello!

My 300TDi has recently has started puffing (well more like jetting) black smoke linked together with using a LOT MORE diesel!

Checked usual suspects - air filter, fuel filter, also done the EGR blanking. Thought about turning the fuel input down on the pump but not sure if this is a good idea or not?

Could it be the injectors or if not timing?

Not sure where to go first?

check turbo hose not collapsing on suction side split on pressure side then injectors

Not.

It wouldn't have turned itself up so no need to turn it down.

Go for hoses, splits, delaminated insides specially the elbow by the turbo. Blocked intercooler.
