300tdi auto conversion

after purchasing a s2a swb i am now in a position to think about selling my rrc.
i had a disco 300 and the engine was great, the rrc is a 300 auto. now i love the auto part of it(but its too nice for my needs) and i want to put a 300 auto into the 2a.
i have googled conversions but nothing definitive comes up. as a disco 300 conversion has been done a few times with gearlever issues would i be right in thinking this is possible? i wouldnt have the lever issues due to it being auto, and as far as i am aware the manual and auto drivetrains are the same length. any information is great.

Is it an 88 or 109? Would be easier in a 109 due to the extra room for the longer auto box

88". prop lengths are my main concern.
