300tdi auto box probs

Hi all I have been having some problems with my 1998, 300tdi auto.
When driving along the autobox is chucking out its oil and its taken a long time to find the problem but at last I think I have it.
I have put some extra pipe onto the breather and oil seems to be coming out of that.
Anyone know why it would be chucking the oil from the breather????

Guess - could be leak or other problem on the integral oil pump making the oil `foam'. I remember my old man having that problem on a Ford Granada many moons ago.
