300TDi Alternator Rebuild

Anyone know if it's possible to replace a brush kit in a Disco 300TDi ( YLE10113 - Magneti Marelli ) Alternator.

If so, anyone got a source for such a kit?

Yes, you can replace the brushes.
Dunno where you'd get em from - try googleing the make and type of the alt.

Trew, the pully seems to have a lot of resistance... is that normal??
dosent seem right to me...

thas nowt to do with the brushes - more likely bearings, which can't be replaced.
