Have you checked the turbo ? Rev the engine and feel if the pipes go firm , take the elbow pipe off and check the blades are intact on turbo and moving free. Only takes two minutes

Tried checking mine y'day, hose off and put fingers inside, but could feel nothing-are blades a long way in?Turbo works ok just wanted to check for play etc.
Maybe my fingers are too short-bit awkward to see with torch

if you take the bottom pip off the intercooler and they are about an inch and a half in there :)

Hi Biolandy, Best if you use a torch and a mirror to see the turbo blades. I think some play is normal. You should be able to reach them. Check they turn but dont spin them too much.

Yes i have checked that had all the pipes off checked both the inlet and outlet blades they are fine there is no in and out movement on the turbine shaft on a slight bit up and down but that is so they run on a film of oil and the blades are moving freely

there are 2 kinds of white smoke ,water disappears quickly usually head gasket etc after off roading with rad been bunged ,unburnt fuel hangs about, unburnt because of fault injection or faulty egr valve
I have done away with the egr valve 2 years ago the rad is fine as i didnt do any wadding at the site . The only thing i have done recently is slightly altered the fueling via the torx srew on the top of the pump to aid low down pull away 2. fitted a new lift pump and 3. fitted a silicone hose from the air box to the turbo inlet as i said before it drove well to the site in the morning and went well all day it was only after some hard acceleration in 4th gear on the way home that some thing has happened to it shortly after this i could smell a burnt smell in side the cab now the oil smells the same as if it has been burnt
