300 Tdi rear wiper spindle nut

What’s the size of the rear wiper motor spindle nut for a 96 300 Tdi?
A new one from t’thinternet seems a bit steep at £12+

I’m wondering if the nut is the same size as that used on a Lucas wiper wheel box.

I don't have a rear wiper (soft-top) but a quick search shows that there are two nuts, one that holds the arm to the spindle and another that holds the spindle to the frame.
The outer one is NH108041L (M8) at 49P +VAT (although any M8 will fit).
The larger one is AMR3934 (no size given) at £1.59+VAT.
