300 TDI Fuel Comsumption

PMT is nothing compared to this - trust me! The doc gave her some more happy pills yesterday, and signed her off for another couple of months, so hopefully it will get better soon, and I can stop flinching everytime she comes into the room! I shouldn't be so flippant, it's really not nice.

I am amazed !! Im on my second 300tdi auto and neither ever returned less than 28mpg I even managed 29 with present vehicle when lock up failed (box since replaced 140k) 500+ miles per tankful easy peasy. Incidently my old 200 manual returned 33-35mpg always even with 186k on clock. Must be the way you handle then folks, try driving in slippers

don't know what your talking about Lenny? Where did I post that? I never refered to anyone as a scouser and I certainly do not remember a conversation regarding stolen landrovers? were you on the same forum mate? or have you got mixed up?

Mine was doing about 360 to a tank till I swapped the turbo out and fitted one with a complete set of blades..... I know my gear box is ready for a service too but at least I get about 500 miles to a tank full these days so long as its longish runs and not just trudging up and down the Derbyshire hills pulling a pony trailer
