300 TDI defender brake fluid ???

As I'm refurbishing my defender and replacing the braking system (with new) from master cyl to callipers etc is there any benefit/drawback in using silicon fluid ?

Been discussed a lot before. Advantages are long life and hassle free. Disadvantage is the expense.

Personally, I would just use the regular stuff and change it every year.

Thanks, Its not too expensive now compared to yearly changes over a 20 year ownership, Ill do more investigation
