300 tdi conversion wiring question.

Hi, I've just fitted a 300 tdi motor from an R reg manual Disco1. Into my defender which was a 2.5 td. Today I was looking at the wiring when I noticed on The diesel pump that there doesn't appear to be a solenoid, there is a Bosch black box on the rear of the pump with a black multiplug with three wires to it, they are white/red, black/brown and brown, also there is a blue multiplug near the top of the pump. Obviously my old loom has only one wire to the solenoid, is this pump no good or can it be wired up to operate? from images I've seen I didn't think it was EDC but could it be? Another P reg disco1 I have has just the solenoid and the blue multiplug. Any help welcome.

I think the three wire version is to do with the alarm, I would have thought you should be able to replace the solenoid with a one wire version once you get the black anti-tamper box off.

So your saying the solenoid is under the black plastic casing?

Search on bypassing the immobiliser

Cheers guys, tomorrow I'll remove the black cover and hopefully get my wiring finished.
