300 tdi 90 Snorkel mounts ....???

Hi

I have been donated a mushroom top snorkle which I am going to fit but as there are no instructions has anyone got the best way for -

Mounting the the support brackets to the Windscreen surround ?? I am a little nervouse as the truck has a great bulkhead BUT is it a case or drilling right through and bolt or big self tapper throught the outer skin or some other ingenius method ?
