Hi all, got a 3 door sport TD4 with leather/heated seats, I know the outer grey panels are smokestone (had an anniversery model when they came out with light/dark smokestone), but these center panels are a mid/aqua blue, contacted a couple of leather dye suppliers but no one seems to know what the blue is, anybody out there know, the seats are pretty good but could do with a spruce up together with the same colour 2 tone steering wheel, any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
cheers

Hi, thanks for the reply, these have to be original, the seat center panels, the door grab handles, carpets (including the boot), door catch housings, clock surround, 2 tone leather steering wheel (smokesone and blue) plus the steering wheel center that houses the air bag are all the same aqua blue, I have seen 1 other like it, that was also a 3 door sport hardback, will try to attach a photo (new to this forum thing)

cheers

ive had a little look online and cant seem to find the colour but least you no that they are standard ones and not being altered

maybe someone will be able to give you the name i just have grey leather interior in mine :)

Yes I tried everywhere I could think of on line, the info plate lists the colour code 609 (kinvar sand) the trim code on the plate is Y, haven't found any ref to this, all the LR trim colours I found have 3 letters, I will have to try the local dealers with a vin no., the last time I tried to get info out of them it was like pulling hen's teeth with a rubber band, thanks for checking it out anyway

cheers

Sorry my mistake - the Sport model was launched with the facelift for 2004MY

You looked at the sales brochure in the how to section?

Try these people based in Yorkshire. They will mix any colour and supply toners with the kit to either lighten or darken it for a perfect match. If you can't send a sample, take a trip over and see if they can match it to the seat panel. I would think they would have shade cards or similar.
I have used their stuff and found it to be very good.

Thanks for the reply, after a long trip round the houses the local dealer has told me Land Rover just called it Teal, I have just emailed the company you suggested to see if they can sort it otherwise I will take a trip across, again thanks for your help

best regards

Thanks td4van, you must have posted while I was typing my replay to Irishrover, that has verified what i have been told, I was a little sceptical because it took several attempts to get the info out of the dealer.

best regards

Hi, finally had the colour matched at Liquid Leather, apparently there is a light and a dark Teal, the one LR used for the F1 seat centre panels is dark Teal, this is a colour LR borrowed from Jaguar which they used only on some export Jag models for the American market, so if any future readers have a similar problem this is what you need
