HI Guys.
the landy has been as good as gold until yesturday, the missus went to go shoping and the 3 amigos came on, ABS, HD, TC, all yellow. she took it up the yard, came back and the lights went out.
So i took it to work this morning, No lights, started it this afternoon, the 3 lights on again.
So i popped into my mates to get the code read (with a snap on reader) and it came up with "code 6" air flow circuit, and "code 34 air flow circuit" which pointed to the MAF. This was replaced and the lights went out. Happy days, Until the missus went to go up to the yard, all the lights on again.
so was the read correctly, or could it be something else.
I have been thinking about getting a nanocom but havent got the money at the moment, and i dont belive anyone close has one :(

The three amigos is unlikely to be caused by a MAF fault, I'm not saying that it was or wasn't, but it's usually either a problem developing with a hub or an ABS sensor or the ABS modulator shuttle valve switch plate.
Sadly the only way of knowing definitely is getting the codes read with a device known to work with the Disco 2.
I would be inclined, in the absence of any code reader to do the SVS Mod (search for "SVS mod" on Google or here on the forum) as a matter of course. Done properly it will cure the fault if the fault is the shuttle valve switch plate. If not it won't affect anything but at least you can then rule that cause out.
Then it can only be read the codes.

Thanks for the reply, I have read about that mod and shall put it 1st on the list of jobs, which seems to be growing daily:rolleyes:
The missus did go down a small pothole, (she is usally very good at missing them) so guess it could be that as well.
oh well looks like a nanocom coming soon then..

im not sure this is relevant but i have some eletrical issues as well.
The off side side drivers front light is intermittent
The AC control panel screen lights up but not the buttons.
and the Dash millage/ODometer dispay dosent light up (clocks do)

Remove the fuse box from below the steering wheel and check for water ingress. It will need to be opened up but its tabs that need pressed in to allow you to do it.All fuses and relays need to be removed also.If any of the circuit board has rust on it then it could be a reason for some of your issues perhaps.

The pothole incident could have something to do with the 3 amigos, but only the codes would tell you.

It's unlikely that the dashboard and sidelight troubles would have an effect on the 3 amigos, not absolutely impossible, but quite unlikely.
The sidelight; I would first check the wiring and the security of the bulb in the holder. If only one light is playing up it's hardly likely to be the switch.
The AC control panel lights and also the odometer are likely to be the actual bulbs inside the units. I believe that there are a couple of YouTubes on how to change these bulbs.

Ok guys thanks for the useful information, looks like I have my work cut out now, and will update any findings, any offers of help would be greatly appreciated ;);)

right so the missus goes up the yard tonight. Says the cars runnning loads better and pulling up the hills far better than it was, could this be the new MAF??
No lights were on...
She parks up pointing downhill very slightly, puts it into "park" puts the hand brake on and the car rolls forward more than usual and makes a "funny noise"......
Now after a couple of hrs she gets back in , the 3 amigos are back on all the way home, she parks on the driveway, puts it into "park" pulls the handbrake on and the car rolls forward a little bit, But then make the same funny noise, twice.
I go out to see, she starts the car, no light on, reverses out and back onto the drive way and it makes the funny noise again.
The noise is after the key has been turned off, it sounded like it came from under the car and like a compressor/ rumberling /run off type noise

Any ideas :confused::confused::confused::confused:
