Classic 3.9 V8 - Over heating - still

Brand new pump fitted:). As per start of thread, I've checked temp via snap-on kit but not with external thermometer. Is it worth doing another burp and stopping before it boils over again or, did it boil over (even with all the air expelled) because the rad is blocked?:confused: If the general consensus of opinion is it's the rad, (I did a full flush when I first bought it and it's been running fine for months before the first major boil over when the viscous fan failed) I'll buy another:( as the viscous fan is pulling and the air con fans are blowing through it. Sorry to be a pain!:rolleyes:
 
Take the radiator off and check you can see through it.
Put it on some flat ground and fill it as quick as you can with boiling water then check for cold spots. An IR thermometer is ideal but your hand will work too, but be very quick, it doesn't take long for the metal to warm up either way

I think I would take the rad off and use a hosepipe to see what it looks like first.

New rad ordered! For the sake of a couple of hours I should have done this earlier :mad:. Live and learn!!o_O
 
Must mention 'buycarspares2', ordered rad from them yesterday at 13:43 (it was the cheapest on eBay (Nissens) and with free delivery) and it arrived today at 11:25:). Now fitted but will have to wait to take her for a run to check it.
