hi ive tried looking every where but can really find anything

does anyboby know exactly what i need from a rr classic 3.9 efi to put the engine in my series
its already got a 3.5 on carbs in just not sure what i need for the efi

thanks

So not an engine change so much as an intake system change ?
Your gonna need all the air intake and injection system from under the bonnet,
You gonna need fuel pump and any fuel regulator system,
All the wiring loom from the doner vehicle as well as the ecu and all the censers
It's not that hard a job to do if you have the 2 vehicles side by side that way as you take it from the donor you can fit it straight on the series

There will be either a fly wheel or crank censor fitted to the block somewhere
In the air intake there will be a mass air flow meter
Not sure if they have a camshaft censor as well
You would also want to fit the ignition system as well

^ twoddle. would be a damn sight easier to source everything from the same vehicle. that way you won't be looking for parts

Be really carefull!!!!!!

I have done it and it is not that easy - firstly the plenum will not fit pointing to the left - the heater box is in the way....

....Secondly you need to mod the bulk head to get the loom to the passenger under seat box for the ECU. Plan this carefully as the loom is barely long enough, and depending what zorst you have it comes close to the x-over pipe.

also depending on bulkhead mods the HP fuel rail is effing close to the bulkhead...

A lot of head scratching required......

....But do-able....

Oh also think about the water inlet for the heater the inlet manifold for the EFi only has 1 port - On the front so you got to be pretty cute about water routing - I ended up splicing into top hose for a return for the heater.

If you want pictures of anything just ask!!!!

If its a 14CUX there is no crank sensor.....

Also you will need to mount a lift pump and High Pressure pump - I got mine under the Drivers side out rigger - needed to fab basic brackets for both. You will need to put Fuel filters here as well as there is no space...

HP fuel lines need to come from here and run up side of wings - too avoid zorst....

Not sure if any one else has done it - probably have and probably done it different. Works for mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bits you need:

Inlet manifold

HP and Lift pump
HP flexible lines I used 6 Meters of ss over braided stuff
Fuel rail with injectors
Loom
MAF sensor - go with Hotwire system on 14CUX best one starts with a 5
Plenum
all sensors on inlet and plenum
flexi tubing 16mm id to go to heater box
35mm to 16mm tee piece to splice into top hose
brackets for pumps
fuel filters 2 x (one for lift pump one for rail)
Fuel regulator - one is sometimes fitted to outlet of rail
and dont forget injector clips (I did - it got quite exciting...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Oh 1 more thing do a search for G33 and rover v8 14cux - there is an awesome step through of how system works - lists all parts properly...
