2nd gear crunching!

Hi Folks,
Having problems getting 2nd gear, it just crunches in. Strangely though it selects fine at stand still, it's only when moving.
1,3 & 4 all ok, although sometimes 1st can be a bugger selecting (very tight).
Also has fairley overdrive which works fine in all gears.
Do you reckon this could be a selector issue?

I take it that's a picture of 1st & 2nd gear.
So they work togther. So probably a selector issue, or wear?

It's a 1983.

That looks familiar, although its probably the springs gone on the synchro on 1st/2nd, not 3rd/4th as shown,

You could whip off the top cover and check the selector shaft is not loose on the fork

Does anyone have a picture of the 1st/2nd gear synchromesh?

Mine has been doing this for the past 12000 miles, jumps out of 2nd now. Time for a rebuild I think!

Looks like I'll just have to double clutch it!!
