Anybody have experience with this size? I have OME medium shocks and
springs installed. Also looking at the 235/85/16. Going on a 1990 RR
classic.

Thanks,
Doug

255/85 is going to give you bodywork clearance problems, I'd think.

If you've got say a 2" lift, the 235/85 might be OK - check the lock stop
settings, too, though - the larger tyres may get nearer the radius arms.

yeah, more offset (i.e. further from the chassis) and they're more likely to
modify the bodywork for you...

Mind, I was thinking about that WRT the disco, and wondering about
offsetting the rims an inch further (with spacers, I reckon - I don't fancy
trying to modify alloys :)), thereby allowing better steering angles. I
daresay the wheels would still be "inside" the arches. On the 110, when I
fitted the 8-spokes (which were offset a lot more than standard) I got
enough extra angle (after machining the lock stops a bit) that it would turn
in the same space as a 100" chassis, which was nice :)

Given the way the studs/nuts on alloys work, it'd be possible to make
replacement special long wheel nuts, rather than have extra bits on the
studs or extra-long studs. Wonder what spec steel the wheelnuts are? My
experience of car wheelnuts is that they're probably ordinary mild...
