Hi folks, thanks for the add, can anyone tell me if I need to buy a specific battery for a 2011 Freelander 2, the wife's been told that due to the "Eco" stop/start on the car it is a special battery it uses, is this correct or will any 80ah battery suffice?

You will be looking for an 096 or 110 type battery. But also look out for the Ah and CCA numbers anorl as some manufacturers cut these figures a bit short.

LR fit an 80Ah battery with 700cca to the FL2.

If it's got stop/start then buy an AGM type battery. If it's not got stop/start then buy a normal lead acid battery.
