Hi Everyone
I have a problem with my 1992 200tdi which has done 150,000 miles.
In October, it had it's annual full service carried out by the local garage. They also did the timing belt and head gasket at the same time. Now there is a problem with the turbo. When driving uphill, the turbo screams much louder than usual and the engine loses about 20% power. Everything is fine during normal driving. This started immediately after the work was carried out and didn't do it before.
The hoses and gaskets have all been double checked and there are no leaks.
What might have caused the turbo to fail? Is it something the garage might have done? Or not done?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
