You can fit a 200tdi mount on the 300 to save moving it but then you have to get a bend in the downpipe to miss the mount but theses are avaliable on line at reasonable price

When I looked into doing mine I was going to use the R380 from my disco as it is a better box so thats why I knew it that way. Are the heads the same for the manifolds? If so theres no reason not to use the 200TDi manifolds is there?

If thats the case it should be a straight swap pretty much, pas pipes can be taken to a hydraulic place and they could simply mate the two together, hoses will be easy with a few bends and connectors, might need to get turbo feed pipes I guess but again thats easy...

Inlet manifolds are interchangable

I have a 300tdi and R380 in my 2.5td 90 but I used the LR conversion kit that I purchased from sawtry. You also need to think about the clutch being on the other side!!

Mine uses standard pipes so its easier if I blow one.

2.5 clutch pipe can be used but its too long and will have to be bent to shape or use a Disco clutch pipe like I did.:)

theres 2 ways of fitting either like lr did wich just uses std parts but repositioning and different gear box as jongould is referring ,or just bung engine on the lt77 as is and make up parts pipes etc to fit ,latter is cheaper former is better imo

Agreed, second is cheaper but probably more hassle, first as you say makes it basically a 300 90 apart from the rear axle. And so parts are easier, depends what you want from it, I want the lt77 for weight distribution but the R380 is stronger so all down to preference

Got 200 tdi in my 90 with 300 inlet and 300 turbo and intercooler and radiator.
Exhaust was a pain as I'm useless at welding and it had to be bent to miss the engine mount but got there in the end.

Botom hose is a problem but may end up using flexi and moulding the header tank pipe into it.
