200Tdi Thermostat bolts....Engine coolant drain plug....

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me the size and where I can get replacement thermostat
casing bolts for a 200tdi please? Whilst tightening them up (with a
torque wrench) one of them snapped after replacing the stat with a new
one...Incidently, there was'nt a stat in there when I removed the old
casing...I'm a little worried why as well....

Also, where the hell is the engine coolant drain plug? I want to flush
the engine out probably but can't see it anywhere. A picture would be
great.

does coolant drain plug = core plug?
if it does its on the side of the engine (left if you was driving) under
manifold behind starter motor.
if it doesn't then I'll shut up again

Nigel,

I don't think it is... from description I've seen it's say it's just
below the core plug.
