200TDi oild leak.

Trying to find an oil leak on my 200Tdi.

the oil is pooling round the eng numbers but nowhere above it. Rocker cover gasket is clean. If i didn't know better i would say its coming from the head gasket.

Any ideas??

Not had time to do piccy yet.

Do they often leak from behind the water pump? looks likee this may be where is coming from.

I hope it aint from behind the timing case.

Sorry its not the water pump. Its the Thermostat housing.

Is this a common place?

the only gasket anywhere near that is the rocker cover, need piccie
