I was driving down a dual carriageway (about 60mph) when my disco started slowing down/losing power I pulled off the road and it died then when restarted wouldn't idle properly then I started it again and it seemed fine.
and I drove a couple more miles without a problem then it did it again.
Its standard except for a straight through exhaust and it is running roughly 60/40 diesel/SVO. It has been service less than 500 miles ago including fuel filter.
Any ideas what it could be? Lift pump or fuel pump is my only slight idea?

I've only just started putting veg oil in (only used new oil not recycled) think I have only used about 30 litres of svo so far.
I will pick a filter up and change that, but why would that be a problem after such a short time?

SVO cleans out residue in the fuel system and blocks the filter.........get a couple of filters while your at it. Usually takes 2 or 3 changes before the system is clear

when you start using veg oil it cleans all of the old carbon deposits out of the fuel system that have built up over years of running on derv and dumps them in the fuel filter. Don't buy 1 new one buy a few (they're cheaper that way) and always keep one in the car.

Thanks everyone, sounds like a good place to start, will get a new filter on and hope it sorts it.

That and the sedimentor , which will fill with all the dislodged ****e from the tank and lines plus any glycerides that gel in the cold . As everyone says , you will be doing a few filter changes after starting to use VO !
