Much as I'd like to leave you to waste several hours, trying to "polish" those scratches out. It is with great pleasure that I have to inform you. You've got no fooking chance. :D It'd take a professional rebore to get that back to spec. and then you'll need oversized rings. & possibly Oversize piston as well..

yes if its scored it does need polishing redhand.its an easy job.just wip it out and refit the 4 pistons.it would probably take just the 1 refitted but its just as easy to do 4.

i may as well polish out the manifold ports while im at it and pimp up the heads a bit eh...

they're to deep to "polish" it needs machining. Try to polish it and you'll end up with an oval bore.


Also ya do know it a sump off and crank out job to get the piston out don't ya??
