That your inner arch on the last pic in the last post? They new or did you just detach them from your old wings? Reason I ask is if you did take them apart in the rusted state they no doubt were did them come apart easily enough and complete enough? i.e. will they go back together OK?

What paint did you use on your wheels? Spray gun paint or aresol - looks like a good finish whatever you used!

I kinda need to re-chassis mine if/when i can afford, so im really interested in all this!
 
inners attach via 4 bolts at top under wing top, then also there are 2 thick self tappers to the lower front,primed em with non-ferous metal primer and then 3 coats of hammerite,wheel side was done with 2 coats of body schutz, will keep updating as i progess, gonna fit wings tomorrow,refit calipers and re-fluid rad, brakes and power steerin`.split tub today from roof and removed spats, de-greased and pressure washed ready for paint on the underside of tub, i think if you`re gonna do this job it may as well be done thoroughly, it`ll be worth it in the end,had loadsa my parts from richard at beamends lrs, many thanks to this guy for gettin all the parts i wanted for the rebuild quickly, he`s a star.:D

they were sprayed with plasti-kote paint, 2 coats of primer and 3 of top coat satin black, awesome paint and very dense colour, highly recommended, i`m that impressed im gonna do my megane 225 alloys with it:)

Got One Wing On Today,fitted Calipers And New Pads And Bled The Brakes Through,tried To Bleed The Clutch Slave And Sheered The Bleed Nipple Off, Bugga!!!!, Fix It With A Newun Tomorrow Me Thinks,re-attached Expansion Tank And Power Steerin` Reservoir, And Also Torqued Every Bolt On The Chassis And Suspension Up To Correct Torques, All In All Another Busy Day!!!!time For A Beer I Think.:)

wire brushed loose paint and painted tub today, managed to get it in the workshop to dry in front of the wood burner, sprayed front bumper with satin black paint to match wheels,also fetched clutch slave cylinder from beamends lrs,:D

and when i do find out where ya live am going to sneak into ya garage and spray yer calipers black - red calipers are fer poncy RRs only !
 
omg...anybody tried to fit a clutch slave pushrod retaining clip with engine fitted and wings on???? how long it take you? bit of a faff i`ll tell ya, anyway got both wings on and heater box etc piped up, fitted clutch slave and bled through and pushed courtesy light switch wires through door pillars...also a faffy job!!:)

Well,not Posted For A Bit As I Have Been Away, Everything Fluided Up, Filled With Diesel Turned Key And Fired Straight In...couldnt Believe It, No Bleeding Or Anything Just Fired Straight In, Jointed Exhaust, Refitted Tub,adjusted Bulkhead For Doors To Fit, Rewired Rear Lights As Whoever Did The Job Before Made A Reet Pigs Earole Of It,resoldered And Shrink Wrapped All.My father-in-law fabbed a plate up to adapt td5 seatbox to the original tranny tunnel the clever chap, i gotta say i couldnt have done this job without him and a big thankyou goes out to him for his much appreciated help,Put Roof On Today And A Bar And Spots, Just Got Doors Left To Put On, and maybe the chequerplate, but may put chequer on after respray which i will do in the near future after i have mot`d it.Got Some Td5 Doors Off 2007 Plate As On Inspection Old Ones Were Too Far Gone, Taken 5 Weekends And About 3 Hours A Night Over The Last 6 Weeks To Get This Far. The End Is Nigh........:)
