Please can anyone help me out with this...

Yesterday whilst out at a pay and play my 90 200tdi stopped whilst on tick over.
Now, i have removed the rocker cover and removed the rocker shaft and 4 of 8 rods are bent.
Further investigation found that the timing belt was still intact but the teeth on 4 inches of the belt had been stripped.
I checked the tensioner that was ok.
Checked the cam shaft pulley and no problems there
Now when i rotated the diesel pump it would turn 1/4 of a turn then i would have to use a spanner on the pump to get it passed. Again 1/4 of a turn then a spanner is required to turn it passed.

Any ideas on this please

I had a 300 pump on the bench the other day and thats was the same needed a spanner to turn it, dont forget 4 injections per revolution of the pump equals one each 1/4 turn of the pump.

the belts only done 20,000 miles, i just cant put my finger on what caused it.
i was surprised to find the diesel pump resistance to be driven from the cam belt...
Very strange....
Thanks for all feedback

Out of interest what make was the belt as i have just fitted a Dayco belt to my 200tdi.
Was the belt tension set correctly?

That's normal for the IP.

Possible dodgy belt or crap got in via the drain hole in the bottom, does sound abit suspect though...
