Hello everybody im a newbie:)
my discovery 200tdi used to fire up first turn, but now takes about 5 spins and is a bit jumpy, ive changed the glow plugs, the bleed off pipes were rotten theyve been changed too,i bled the filter and noticed there was air in the other day, thought that might of sorted it but no,its as if the diesel running back out of the filter when stood, does this make sense, thanks for reading and any advice:)

Yeah... lift pump is the first place I'd look. Crack the bleed screw on the top of the filter and give the priming lever a few pumps in quick succession... if you don't get a good squirt of fuel with each then it's probably shafted.

thanks,i copened the filter bleed screw, and pumped the lift pump filter,it took a few pumps then it squirted quite well

Leave it over night then try it again in the morning... if it takes a few pumps to prime the filter again then you have a leak somewhere and air is getting in.
