thanks u just saved me making a costly mistake as i was going to fit 4 new off road tyres on them tomorrow.

if i change the back axle on the 90 to the 200tdi, will they then fit the front of the 90:confused:

have got a set of 200/300tdi alloys on me sprogs 90td, had to make up a 3mm spacer for the front to fit but rear went straight on (rangie rear axle with discs).

ive just bought a set of disco 'cyclone' wheels for my landy,

i havent put them on yet but as far as im aware you just have to take the spring washers off the hub bolts, this then takes it in far enough,

hope im right, i will let you all know in the week

i thought that, but having removed the spring washers and loctited the bolts in, the wheels would still not fit flat on the hud flange which is why i made some 3mm spacers up out of some sheet alloy

i thought the hub patterns are the same? its a question of clearance and offsets, the fronts will rub on the chassis on full lock.

jolly(drunk, use advise under caution)

yes the wheel pcd is the same it is not that we are discussing, the problem to overcome is that the alloys will not clear the thicker drive flange as fitted to 90's hubs, to solve the fit the retaining 5/8" bolts have to have there spring washers removed and then the wheel will still not sit flush on the hub which is why a thin spacer is required. The steering lock is not effected at all as the internal measurement of the wheels are the same, it is only if larger tyres are fitted (205/235 do not need any lock stop adjustment but larger than these do)

confused
will they fit if i do the mods:confused:

ie remove the spring washer from where:confused:
thin spacers where do i buy them:confused:
and what thickness are the spacers:confused:

many thanks

1/ yes they will fit the front axle but i do not know about the drum brake rear axle
2/spring washers under the bolts that retain the halfshaft drive flange to the hub
3/i made me own
